I joined Björn’s team in 2014 as a PhD student both at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research in Mainz and at TU Eindhoven.
My current research focus is on the transport properties of excitons in organic materials. As part of my work I am an active developer of the VOTCA-XTP software, where I implement models for exciton kinetics and QM/MM models based on Many-Body Green’s Functions Theory.
I studied materials science (Diplom, May 2013) at the Technical University Darmstadt and the University of Ilinois at Urbana-Champaign. During my thesis in the group of Prof. Albe I worked on a model to self-consistently calculate the polarization reversal in polycrystalline ferroelectrics.
